Comments: Habit: Usually creeping and very compact shrub.
Foliage: Small elliptic to elliptic-obovate leaves, 0.3-1.2cm long by 2.5-5mm wide. The upper surface is dark green with scattered hairs. The underside is pale green with scattered shiny brown hairs.
Flowers: 1-3 funnel-shaped brick-red flowers per inflorescence. Late flowering.

Notes: an excellent garden plant which has been often used as a parent in hybridising.
