Rhododendron 'Spiced Honey'

Life form: Shrub - evergreen
Comments: Habit: Medium spreading shrub, 2.5m x 4m.

Foliage: Large elliptic dark green leaves, 150 x 60mm, felted below and yellow petioles.

Flowers: Umbels of 16-18 campanulate, apricot pink buds open light yellow with pink lobes and red throat, fading to cream. Flowers early to mid season - October at Pukeiti.

History: R. macabeaunum X R. 'Unique'. Distributed by the NZ Rhododendron Association as seedling plants to members. This clone grown by Mrs Gwen Grant, Timaru, named and propagated at Pukeiti.
