Comments:
Habit: Upright growing.
Foliage: Leathery glossy elliptic leaves, pale to dark green. New growth often highly coloured in wine red, pink or creamy hues.
Flowers: Flowering period variable from very early spring to mid season.
Cultivation information: Frost tender.
Further information: Very variable species, widespread in South East Asia and introduced under many names including R. ellipticum, R. stenaulum and R. westlandii.
