Comments: Habit: Upright shrub.
Foliage: Dull green, R. arboreum-like leaves but broader with light brown hair layer below.
Flowers: Mauve pink buds open into dense umbel of white flowers, 16-17 per umbel bell-shaped, with crimson spots and nectaries, white filaments and style, brown anthers.
Further information: Earlier notes have the seed parent as R. barbatum but now considered unlikely.
Additional notes: Not readily available in New Zealand.
