Comments: Habit: a medium sized shrub with a dense habit.

Foliage: Dark green leaves with a buff indumentum on the underside.

Flowers: Flat toped trusses of red flowers, faintly mottled a darker red on the upper petals.

History: R. Chanticleer X R. griersonianum. Raised, named and introduced by L. de Rothschild in 1941.
