Comments: Habit: Compact wide spreading shrub to 1.8m x 2.5m.
Foliage: Attractive matt dark green leaves, 125 x 50mm, thick, heavy sun tolerant foliage.
Flowers: Rich red with darker dorsal spots, 10-14 per umbel, broad funnels, compact. November but often flowers again in autumn.
Further information: Available from rhododendron nurseries, often sold as just R. 'Jean Marie de Montague'.
