Rhododendron 'Thoron Hollard'

Family: Ericaceae (Heath)
Comments: Habit: A vigorous tall spreading large leaf hybrid to 4m x 6m.
Foliage: Large broad elliptic leaves are silvery below.
Flowers: Large umbel of 17-18 funnel bell-shaped flowers, purple pink in bud opening cream with pink lines on tube. Red blotch in upper throat. Flowers heavily in September and October.
History: Raised and named by Bernie Hollard, Kaponga, NZ.
