Distribution: Papua New Guinea (Mt Miap, Enga Province)
Habitat: Forest margin, cut-over bush
Comments: Habit: Compact small leaved shrub to 80cm. Habit is denser than R. caliginis but more open and vigorous than R. vitis-idaea.
Foliage: Leaves narrow elliptic, glossy with recurved margins, scaly below. Leaves are larger, darker green and less scaly than R. caliginis.
Flowers: Umbels of 1-3 narrow tubular hanging bells, deep pink, slightly scaly on outside. Repeat flowering. Flowers are larger and deeper colour than R. caliginis.
Further information: Naturally occurring hybrid.
