Foliage: Ovate dark green leaves, dark brown scales.
Flowers: 5-11 per umbel, horizontal, curved downwards, hairy outside. Unequally 5 lobed, bright yellow.
History: The original description of this species from Keyts Mts, SW New Guinea was for lilac flowers but this collection from W New Guinea, Bele River, 18km NE of Lake Habbema, has bright yellow flowers. The original collection has not been seen since.
