Comments: Habit: A rounded-broadly upright small tree.
Foliage: Oblong or oblong-oval leaves, 14-28cm long by 3-11cm wide. The upper surface is dark green which, when young, has fine stellate hairs. The underside is moderately hairy at first, but the hairs partially fall off as the leaf ages.
Flowers: Crimson to scarlet, one of the latest flowering species, usually late summer.
