Comments:
Habit: Small shrub to 80cm.
Foliage: Very dense.
Flowers: Masses of small bright single crimson flowers. Free flowering, early.
History: Parentage unknown. raised in Japan pre 1918. Kurume azalea.
Cultivation information: Hardy. Best in semi shade and massed in groups. Prefers acid fertiliser. Water and mulch in summer. Available from New Zealand rhododendron nurseries.
