Comments: Habit: A compact, much branched, semi evergreen shrub that is generally wider than tall.
Foliage: The leaves appear in two forms. Spring leaves are broadly elliptic, ovate or obovate. Small, 0.8-2cm long by 0.5-1cm wide. Summer leaves smaller, obovaste, elliptic or ovate. the uppermost ones being persistent through the winter. In both types the upper surface is a glossy dark green and teh under side paler. Red-brown hairs persist on both surfaces .
Flowers: An inflorescence of 2-3 small funnel-shaped flowers rose pink to purple.
