Life form: Tree - evergreen

Comments: Habit: Forms a large tree over time.
Foliage: Large elliptic shaped leaves, 40 cm long by 18.5cm wide. The upper surface is green and teh underside has an indumentum of Grey/ Brown bistrate hairs around teh leaf margin.
Flowers: A tight, rounded truss of 25 campanulate flowers open rose pink fading to yellow.
History: A seedling selected to honour the Pukeiti Rhododendron Trust's first secretary. Not readily available in New Zealand.
