Comments: Habit: An open growing shrub or small tree with light brown peeling bark.
Foliage: Elliptic to obovate-elliptic leaves, 9-16cm long by 3-7cm wide. The upper surface is bright green and distinctly bullate. The underside has conspicuous, sunken veins and is densely scaled with two different sizes of golden or brown scales.
Flowers: An inflorescence of 2-6 white, sweetly scented flowers with a distinctive large calyx.
