Family: Ericaceae (Heath)
Comments: Habit: Compact shrub to 1m x 2m.
Foliage: Elliptic hairy leaves, scales visible below, hairs white when new.
Flowers: White, 8 per lax umbel, wide bell-shaped, brown anthers prominent. Flowers early and can be frost damaged.
History: Came from garden of W G Tucker, UK who aquired it from Lionel de Rothschild, Exbury as R. leucaspis. Thought likely to be crossed with R. ciliatum.
